EDGY.
SCRAPPY.
FOUNDER.
So this guy…
Kyle Hanslovan is the co-founder and CEO of Huntress, a sleek cybersecurity operation recently valued at $1.5B; he knows a thing or two about success—or, as he likes to put it, “not failing.”
Listed among CRN’s “Top 25 Tech Disruptors” and awarded EY’s “Entrepreneur of the Year 2024,” the serial entrepreneur and ex-military leader sits at the forefront of a revolution in cybersecurity, ruthlessly collecting a host of kickass titles like “award-winning cyberwarfare expert” and “elite NSA operative.”
Outside of the office, Kyle is a father of three who follow in his footsteps as restless Florida youth engaged in minor mischief on the internet and inside their middle school and university classrooms.
Grew up wild.
As the average American teen warmed a couch cushion and surfed cable TV, a difficult set of life circumstances and economic hardship formed a crucible for this aspiring hacker to hone his craft.
At the time, he was powerless against so many injustices, including the low-key chaos of a working single mom with a heart of gold and the gaping hole left by an absent father. Needless to say, he wasn’t the most obedient.
However, this tapestry of hurdles wove the type of underdog story made for epic cinema and produced a purpose-filled ambitious adolescent—armed with swagger and a slight chip on his shoulder.
Since then, Kyle’s been hungry to prove himself a hero in a world overrun by villains and level the battlefield against worthy adversaries with his technological prowess.
Runs with renegades.
When this hustling trapstar left home, he sought challenges and the company of mavericks equally bent on redefining what's possible.
From clandestine deployments with Special Forces to hacking adversaries for the US Intelligence Community, Kyle's Air Force service delivered an opening act of adventure and friendships.
Armed with this experience, he’s since won DEF CON’s Capture The Flag (essentially hacker superbowl), raised $300M+ from the venture capitalists behind Meta, Snowflake, Roblox & Rippling, and assembled a 500-deep team of industry experts revered as the Avengers of cybersecurity.
With a few W’s under his belt, this 40 Under 40 winner is now hunting for like-minded disruptors to help amplify their impact and challenge the boundaries of tech, workplace success, and social norms.
And wants to help.
These days, you’ll find Kyle mixing self-care and personal time with networking, whether that be rocking swimwear in Lake Havasu, Chucks and tux on the red carpet, or cozy outerwear at the Sundance Film Festival.
If you’re looking to connect socially, he’s living life and sharing his travels on the gram, dropping spicy startup advice and interacting with entrepreneurs on LinkedIn, and learning to navigate post-divorce dating on OnlyFans (jk 😅).
Need to reach him for something business related? He’d love to hear from you!
